Have you seen fingernails that are adorned with beautiful gems and interesting objects? If you have, then maybe you are wondering where that idea came from, how they do it, and where you can get one of those. This is called Japanese nail art. This is more than your typical nail polish after a Vancouver manicure. For a couple of years now, it has conquered the nail fashion world and it continues to develop and evolve. For people who are not familiar with it, or who wants to know a little bit more about it, here are information that you can use.
A perfect manicure will definitely make your hands look and feel great but if you add even the simplest designs to your nails, you`ll stand out from the basic and boring as someone who really knows and loves style. The right accessories can even add an amazingly stylish touch and complement the colors of the outfits you wear also. And even if you don`t leave the house often, for instance if you work from home, sometimes just watching a tutorial and trying out some different designs with some really inexpensive nail art accessories can make you feel better about your hands, although you may be the only one looking at them.
The essentials are: a base coat (to prevent nail discolouration and allow your nail polish to glide on smoothly), nail polish, and a top coat (to ensure your manicure lasts for more than a day). I like to use a quick drying top coat cos that saves oodles of time and is so convenient to use, but it`s also good to have a normal top coat or clear polish in hand for certain more complex nail designs. After trying loads of different brands, I`ve found that it`s so important to invest in good quality nail polish. These are more expensive but they`re worth it cos they last longer, dry faster and don`t get lumpy. I`ve had such bad experiences with cheap nail polish that now I`m just sticking to brands that I`ve used before (and like) and reputable brands. Orly, OPI, China Glaze, Sally Hansen and Essie are some of the good ones. It`s also a good idea to test out polish from a brand you`ve not tried before buying it.
Nail art like 3D ceramic flowers can be used on a base coat of nearly any colour, the best being neutral shades like white and black or even green to make your flowers really stand out. For the marine life, like 3D turtles you can use a base coat of blue on your nails with some transparent varnish and paste the turtles to create an authentic look. Similarly, 3D donuts can be pasted on a base coat of a contrasting color of the donut to draw attention. 3D nail art is one of the latest trends in nails and the look will always call for more than one glance at your fingers.
Nail art will not only make your nails look really different and beautiful from others but will also enhance the look of any outfit you choose to wear. If animals, food or marine life are not your style, you can always go for the basic shapes like diamonds, hearts, triangles and other geometrical designs for simple elegance. Glitter powder and glitter flakes in hexagonal shapes are also a very chic option for the holiday season, especially Christmas and winter.
